Are Dermal Fillers safe?
Dermal fillers are safe for your skin. The active ingredient in fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA). HA occurs naturally in your skin, so allergic reactions are extremely rare. Juvederm and Restylane are FDA-approved so you can be certain about their safety.
Potential side-effects are mild and temporary. Swelling can occur during the first 24 hours, and mild bruising can last for a few days. However, both of these are temporary and treatable with over-the-counter anti-inflammatories.
How soon will I see results?
Most patients will see some immediate results with Dermal Fillers, with final results usually seen about 10 – 14 days after your injection.
How long will Dermal Fillers last?
Depending on the type of dermal filler received, the length of which they last will vary. Fillers can last anywhere from 6 months – 24 months.
