Before & After

Sculptra Frequently Asked Questions
What is Sculptra and how does it work?
Sculptra is an FDA-approved injectable comprised of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It is a unique injectable that is injected into the deep dermis. It encourages your body to stimulate natural collagen production. The body gradually begins to create more collagen over the course of a few weeks. This results in a more youthful appearance that begins to appear gradually over a period of time.
Is Sculptra a filler?
While injected similarly, Sculptra is from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA). It is not a hyaluronic acid gel like Juvederm or Restylane products. Sculptra acts as a collagen stimulator and results are seen over the course of a few months
Who is a good candidate for Sculptra?
- If you want to restore volume to hollow areas of your face that you’ve developed due to aging or weight loss.
- Sculptra gives a natural, more youthful-looking appearance that is long lasting due to collagen stimulation over time
How long does Sculptra last?
Results can be seen as early as 8 weeks and can last up to 24 months. Yearly maintenance treatments are recommended to continue the production of collagen.
How many treatments of Sculptra do I need?
The number of treatments varies per individual.
What should I expect post treatment?
Directly after the injections the area will be slightly swollen and some bruising may be evident. Once the numbing cream wears off you will experience some tenderness – a cold compress can be used to reduce pain levels. After the injections your aftercare will involve massaging the areas for 5 minutes, 5 times a day , and for 5 days.

The CaHa in Radiesse helps your body produce collagen for results that only get better over time. It encourages your body’s natural collagen production to restore volume, provide structure, and improve skin laxity.
Where Can Radiesse Be Used?
Radiesse is a FDA-approved filler that can be used both on the face and body. Some of the most common areas include:
- Lower face
- Hands
- Neck
How Soon Will You See Results?
You will notice immediate improvement, however, while these initial results are certainly exciting, it’s important to remember that they are only a glimpse of what your final results will be. The results are expected to improve over the next 7 days as the filler is absorbed by your body and new collagen is produced. Over the next 4 – 6 weeks, you’ll notice greater improvement due to collagen stimulation.
How Long Do Radiesse Results Last?
12 to 18 months. Some people may experience longer results based on their skin type, their age, the areas treated, and how well you take care of your skin after your treatment.
